Your vote...

I am up late tonight, can't get my mind to stop whirling so I thought I would search for a new template.  I kind of like this one, I know it's still brown , but I guess I kinda like brown.  Anyway let me know what you think.

CRAZY HAIR DAY

Today was crazy hair day at the elementary school.  Taylor's friend Amanda came over at 7 this morning so they could coordinate their hairdos.  Even Tate got in on the action.  I was amazed that when I sprayed their hair with color, the smell took me back to being a punk rocker for Halloween in the 6th grade.  I guess they haven't changed their formula for the past 20+ years. Wow, I'm old!

A tiny broken heart...

I just wanted to let everyone know that our neighbor's need your prayers and good wishes as their baby Gracie is dealing with some complications from her surgery.  Miracles happen and there is awesome power in prayer.  Please take a moment to read about their story by clicking on the link The Gledhill Family on the right.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter celebration this weekend.  We dyed our eggs on Saturday night.  I went a little wild and bought the tie-dye kit with glitter this year instead of the boring one color variety. We were fortunate to have Bill's Mom up for the weekend.  We all loved having her around, she even helped out the Easter Bunny on Saturday night!

Amelia Earhart by Taylor Ingram

I don't know what has happened in elementary school that every book report has to be a production of some sort.  When I was a kid you had to list the characters and give a summary of the book.  February's book report was an autobiography with a poster and oral report.  This month Taylor has to make a book jacket complete with illustration and summary.  It is enough to drive a mother crazy!

Laugh it up...

The home next door has started construction so we have been getting used to early morning truck rumblings and our front yard looking like a parking lot...

but this morning  the piece de resistance arrived...

A GLOWING GREEN PORT-A-POTTY!!!!!

As you can see it is right along the property line about 30 feet from our front door, seriously it could not be any closer.  My good friend Kelly called as she was driving down the street to ask if she could use my new bathroom. We will be able to enjoy throughout the summer as the temperature reaches the 90's and beyond, yummy.  Aren't you jealous?

How we spent our Saturday

We have finally made our emergency backpacks!  We spent today purchasing and assembling everything we need to complete our 72 hour kits.  The plan is to put these backpacks on hooks in the garage so we can grab and go.  Everyone has their own water, food, clothing, flashlight, and emergency supplies.  We continue to increase our food storage and also assemble kits for our car and make sure our trailer is always stocked.  We hope we never have to use any of these things, but it does bring us peace knowing that we are prepared!
