LDS Humor

A friend passed along this LDS greeting card company to me.  It is worth a look and good for a laugh!

Proof

I have mentioned in a previous post the generous size of my big toe nail.  On Wednesday I had my monthly pedicure and thought I would try a flower detail for a change.
How many people can fit an entire asian landscape on their big toe nail?

I remember....

 - when Bill was going to school full time and working full time and my adult conversation was limited to telephone solicitors.
-nursing a newborn with a toddler on my lap.
- loading up my double stroller and walking to the grocery store because we only had 1 car.
-when 5 o'clock was the hour of hell- straightening the house, cooking dinner, and trying to keep my toddler from napping all with a baby strapped to my hip.
- when meeting friends for lunch meant going to a Mc Donald's with a play place.
  - tucking my 3 little ones at the end of an exhausting day and realizing how grateful I was to get to do it all over again tomorrow.
We've come a long way!  For all of you who are still in the above stage of mommyhood , try to enjoy it- it goes by so fast, even when your days seem so long.

First day of Elementary School

Taylor and Tate started school today!  They were very excited and had a hard time falling asleep last night.  They have wonderful teachers and we are looking forward to a great school year!

7th Grade

(the shoes he had to have)

Today is the first day of 7th grade for Trace.  I know it seems weird to start school on a Friday, but they have just the 7th graders go so that they are able to navigate their way throughout the school without the 8th and 9th graders.  Trace is excited and a little nervous about having to switch classes.  I am looking forward to the report this afternoon.  I know he is going to have a great year!  I can't believe he is in Jr. High, it's true - it goes by so fast...

It's official...

I'm boring! Vanilla?  Plain old vanilla, not even chocolate chips or anything.  I have to agree that I do appreciate peace and simplicity.  My favorite ice cream flavor to eat is Girl Scout Thin Mint.  What's your flavor?

One of my favorite things

Sorry about the fuzzy image, but it was the best I could find.
Since this whole boot camp thing started I have been enjoying a sugar free pudding on most days.  They are only 60 calories and really take the edge off my sweet tooth.  Yesterday I found the best flavor - Dulche De Leche - it is like a carmel sundae.  HEAVEN is all I can say.  I also enjoy the Mint Chocolate and the Double Chocolate - perfect for a high hormone day.

9 weeks..and I don't mean pregnant!!!

Some of you may know and I'm sure most of you don't care, that I have been doing a boot camp for the last 9 weeks.  I have lost about 12 (which really means 11.5) pounds and 11.25 inches.  Although I complain and whine (sorry Shilea & Tracy) I really do love it.  I work out Monday - Friday from 6 - 7 am. and then I keep my calories between 1400-1600.  I have had a few bad days of eating but for the most part I have stayed focused and mildly annoying about my eating habits. I bought a food scale, my husband rolled his eyes too, and I measure everything that I eat.  It has been a real eye opener - I must have been eating about twice as much before. My goal is to have Kelly Ripa arms someday.  I am posting this so that a year from now I can motivate myself to get on the ball again.  Who knows how long I can keep this up, only 91 days until holiday season starts!?
