Since my last blog I have...

5. Turned 34!
6. Spent the weekend in Salt Lake with my wonderful husband.
7. Ate at Ruth's Chris for the first time - delicious!
8. Toured Body Worlds 3, slightly disturbing and yet tremendously interesting.
9. Gained 4 pounds in one weekend!
10. Searched for lost camera, no luck.
11. Lost previously mentioned 4 pounds.
12. Decided to buy a new camera.
13. Had family pictures taken by Swensen Photography, great experience!
14. New camera arrives from Costco.com.
15. Celebrated Tate's birthday at Jump On It.

Dirty Little Secret #1

BEFORE
AFTER
JUNK

As many of you know I love to de-clutter.  Since moving into my home 3 years ago, I have been struggling with the organization of this upstairs closet.  It is where I keep crafting supplies, scrapbook supplies, school supplies, etc.  After pondering the many organizational challenges and a quick trip to Target, I conquered this closet!  Organization makes me HAPPY!

Soccer

Cheezy grin!
Tate & his friend Taylor

Tate is enjoying his second season of soccer.  He loves it because he is constantly in on the action.  He has scored a few goals and only let one goal through when he played goalie.  I'm so happy to have an athlete in the family! Go Tate!

LDS Humor

A friend passed along this LDS greeting card company to me.  It is worth a look and good for a laugh!

Proof

I have mentioned in a previous post the generous size of my big toe nail.  On Wednesday I had my monthly pedicure and thought I would try a flower detail for a change.
How many people can fit an entire asian landscape on their big toe nail?

I remember....

 - when Bill was going to school full time and working full time and my adult conversation was limited to telephone solicitors.
-nursing a newborn with a toddler on my lap.
- loading up my double stroller and walking to the grocery store because we only had 1 car.
-when 5 o'clock was the hour of hell- straightening the house, cooking dinner, and trying to keep my toddler from napping all with a baby strapped to my hip.
- when meeting friends for lunch meant going to a Mc Donald's with a play place.
  - tucking my 3 little ones at the end of an exhausting day and realizing how grateful I was to get to do it all over again tomorrow.
We've come a long way!  For all of you who are still in the above stage of mommyhood , try to enjoy it- it goes by so fast, even when your days seem so long.

First day of Elementary School

Taylor and Tate started school today!  They were very excited and had a hard time falling asleep last night.  They have wonderful teachers and we are looking forward to a great school year!

7th Grade

(the shoes he had to have)

Today is the first day of 7th grade for Trace.  I know it seems weird to start school on a Friday, but they have just the 7th graders go so that they are able to navigate their way throughout the school without the 8th and 9th graders.  Trace is excited and a little nervous about having to switch classes.  I am looking forward to the report this afternoon.  I know he is going to have a great year!  I can't believe he is in Jr. High, it's true - it goes by so fast...

It's official...

I'm boring! Vanilla?  Plain old vanilla, not even chocolate chips or anything.  I have to agree that I do appreciate peace and simplicity.  My favorite ice cream flavor to eat is Girl Scout Thin Mint.  What's your flavor?
