We arrived in Munich safely, and more important arrived at our hotel safely with Bill driving! (more to come in the next post) Our day started the next morning with a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle. This castle is nestled in the hills of Bavaria and is the inspiration for the castle at Disneyland. We had a very nice tour where we met a family from Alpine, Utah. It is such a small world! We learned that this castle was built in the 1880's and had running water, flushing toilets and central heating. Sign me up!!! It was surrounded by breathtaking country side. Then we made our way to Dachau Concentration Camp. It was a very sobering experience and we all came away with a greater respect for human life, and an unbelievable appreciation for our freedom and our country.
